植物光合作包括光能的吸收、能量轉(zhuǎn)換、電子傳遞、ATP的合成以及CO2的固定等步驟，這一過程主要在植物的葉綠體的類囊體膜上完成的。類囊體膜上存在四種關(guān)鍵的蛋白復(fù)合體：光系統(tǒng)II（PS II）、Cytb6/f復(fù)合體、光系統(tǒng)I（PS I）和ATP合成酶，這四種復(fù)合體協(xié)同作用，共同完成光反應(yīng)。光系統(tǒng)II上具有捕光色素復(fù)合體（LHC）構(gòu)成的天線系統(tǒng)，可以捕獲光能，而光系統(tǒng)I則利捕獲后的能量進(jìn)行原初光化學(xué)反應(yīng)。Cytb6/f復(fù)合體在電子傳遞過程中起著至關(guān)重要的作用，ATP合成酶則負(fù)責(zé)合成ATP，為植物細(xì)胞提供能量。
